One More Thing To Check Off My Bucket List :)

Maybe it's lame, maybe it's not, but I have always wanted to start a blog. So much so that i put it on my bucket list (yes, i actually have a bucket list.). I never really got around to it though because i figured, "who in their right minds would want to read all my crazy rantings of their own free will?" I am doing it now though, so hello to all my fellow blogging sisters and brothers [waves]. My friend ____ (that's right, you don't get to know her name. Ha ha ha.) started a blog recently and so i decided "what the heck?" Voilà! Here i am n_n Any who, onto the crazy rantings that i suspect no one will give a crap about...

COLOR CHANGE!! Okay, so first of all i would like to explain the name for my blog. Well, to put it simply it is about a guy that i really really like (wow. That sounds so lame...Sorry for being a total girl people. I can't help it.). To go into more detail, Milky Way is my nickname for him that me and the before mentioned ____ came up with to use when talking about him in front of him--if that makes any sense. We decided on Milky Way because he reminds me of music and my current musical artist crush is Mikey Way from My Chemical Romance, and ____ said that whenever she hears the name Mikey Way she thinks of Milky Ways. So, yeah, that's basically the gist of it :)

Secondly, I would like to get white and nerdy on you (if any of you just caught that music reference you have both my respect and my pity.). So this current school year I have been studying Latin, language of the dead. When i found out I had to learn Latin I groaned and grumbled all the day long, but, surprisingly, I LOVE IT! It is the most fascinating, fun, complex, and rewarding thing to learn (I told you i was going to get nerdy.). Most of my classmates don't seem to like it, but I enjoy it so much. I love it so much that I actually spend a lot of my time translating musical lyrics into Latin. My older sister ___- (That's her name, mmhmm.) laughed at me and said I was obsessed. I am not going to argue with that. I spent over an hour looking at and memorizing a lot of Latin insults and suggestive phrases too. Some of them are the funniest things like, "Is that a scroll in your toga, or are you just happy to see me?" or, "You have the face of a man who is severely constipated." Needless to say I was very amused. I've been looking into Latin majors for college and there are some really great schools out there who offer them. Perhaps I could then become a linguist or maybe even a Latin Professor at some prestigious school or some such stuff like that. I don't know yet...I'd also really like to be a music producer, but we can discuss that in another blog ;)

Oh deary me, I just realized that you all don't really know who I am. Tsk! Tsk! This will simply not do! Well for starters i am __-__ (I don't know if i feel comfortable giving out my name just yet...). I love to read books, I love Latin (as you now know), I also really really REALLY love music. Music is my passion. I don't play a musical instrument of any kind and I don't sing and I don't write music, but i sure as heck listen to it. I like most all genres of music except for Country, and....I don't know, Polka (haha). I mostly listen to Rock and Alternative, but i'm open to most things. If at anytime you want to tell me about an artist or band, please, feel free. I love discovering new music. I can't think of anything else about myself that is really that interesting at the moment so I think I shall just stop now. This has been fun but a bit boring I think. In my next blog I will definitely try to jazz it up for you guys :D
